About us.

Meet the parents behind Preparing Parents.

Hey, we’re Shane and Nikki. We’re both parents to four kids and love it (almost all the time). Through our personal and professional experiences we’ve realized how desperate parents are to do the best by their kids. It's just that sometimes we find ourselves in moments or situations that scare us or catch us off guard. There are constantly times we feel unsure of what to say or how to handle something that comes up with our kids. Out of our desire to see parents flourish we created helpful, practical, shame-free, and efficient courses to prepare you for some of the most challenging moments parenting can throw your way.

Nikki Pauli

Hey, I’m Nikki! I have been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor working with children, teens, adults, and families for 15 years. I also work for LEAPT training play therapists and am an adjunct instructor for Mental Health and Social Work masters students.

I'm so passionate about walking with and helping families. I believe the family unit is where we first learn to belong and how to navigate the world.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Jacob, and four children. You can find us enjoying the outdoors as often as possible or cuddled up reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, The Chronicles of Narnia, or Series of Unfortunate Events. I find joy in time spent laughing with my people, dirtying my hands gardening, a hard work out, and enjoying good food.

Shane Fuller

Hey, I'm Shane! I have an MDiv and am working on my MA in Mental Health Counseling. Having four kids with my incredible wife, Brynn, really got me interested in learning everything I can about parenting.

What I love about working with people and creating our resources is helping parents feel more sure of themselves. Ultimately, I want as many parents as possible to be at peace with themselves and how they've chosen to lean into the hard stuff in life.

It's not all serious though - I like Justin Bieber, back straps on the Traeger, and amassing a bigger garage gym than I can actually use.
